Discovery is a transformative learning tool that aims to introduce basic human values to a person and initiate a process of self-enquiry. It is a first of its kind methodology employed by a cross section of people world wide, as a tool to aid them look deep within. The first edition was printed in 1989 and the popularity and usefulness of this tool as a learning aid has been increasing by the day.
Discovery is presented in the form of a 'snake and ladder' game with hundred stories / parables forming the backbone of the game. Eleven theme-based charts are included to inquire into specific dimensions like Success, Leadership, Team Building, Communication and so on. The players are taken through three levels of learning at the end of each story: Explicit, Experience Sharing and Abstract Conceptualization. This leads the player towards a belief level change that is transformative in nature. This tool has been used for almost two decades now and has had a successful implementation in schools, organizations and communities, both at a self as well as group level. A user's guide helps the reader go through the process
